Most people would love to own a premium vehicle. However, only a minority actually have one. Interestingly, however, the reason for this isn’t always due to being priced out of the market. Often, it has to do with knowledge.
So, what can you do to find a premium vehicle if you really want one on a budget?

Use Tech Tools To Stack Deals
One of the best ways to reduce costs is to utilise various tech tools to layer deals on top of each other. For example, you use things like dealer quotes and then combine this with credit card cash back or discounts.
When you do this, you often find that the price will decrease significantly. Most vendors aren’t aware of or don’t police these methods of discounting, so you shouldn’t be barred from using them.
Look For High Mileage
Another strategy is to look for high mileage. Many buyers will literally ignore vehicles with mileage over a certain number because they assume they require constant maintenance. However, that’s not always the case. Some high-mileage vehicles are actually well-maintained and will continue running for years with the proper care and attention.
For example, the BMW 7-Series can run well after 80,000 miles, provided it has been well-maintained by its previous owner. Furthermore, if most of those miles were highway miles, it’s likely as good as new.
Use Approved Used Dealers
Let’s say you want to buy a Jaguar approved used. If you visit an approved used car dealer, you’ll typically receive a significant discount on the purchase price.
What’s more, you can usually negotiate with these sellers. Most have margins they want to maintain, but also prices they think people will pay. Sometimes, you can get money off a model that isn’t shifting, just by asking
Leverage Online Auctions
You can also leverage online auctions. These allow you to pick up vehicles for less than you might think.
For example, sites like Copart allow you to find salvage vehicles. You can also buy luxury vehicles being sold by the state to raise money for the public purse. These auctions sometimes take place when someone has passed away without leaving a will or when police have seized property but are unsure of who to return it to.
Avoid Hyped Vehicles
You also want to avoid hyped vehicles where possible. Sometimes, retailers will apply a markup to specific vehicles, such as Porsches or Range Rovers, due to the brand.
What you want to do is find a model of car where the same premiums don’t apply. This way, you can get all the top-end features you want without having to pay through the nose for them.
Time Your Purchases For The End Of The Quarter
Lastly, you could try timing your purchases for the end of the quarter. This approach is highly effective because many dealers will apply discounts at the end of the period to clear old stock.
